Other Things you can do
for Your Feet

There are other minor, but very important things you can do to keep your feet healthy.

  • Wear well-fitting comfortable shoes made of leather or canvas that will stretch to accommodate your feet.
  • Wear shoes that are wide at the forefoot.
  • Avoid shoes with high heels or narrow toe areas.
  • Follow a good footcare regimen, including washing your feet in warm water, drying them well and moisturizing them with lotion.
  • Avoid walking barefoot indoors and outdoors.
  • Always wear socks made of a breathable material such as wool or cotton.
  • Wear socks with shoes to help prevent blisters.
  • Ensure that your shoes are kept in good condition, inside and outside.
  • Make sure your footcare insoles and heel products are checked and replaced as necessary.
  • Stretch your feet and calves.
